You don't need to shell out for an expensive body scrub when you can create your own budget version at home: Mix 2 tbsp of Epsom salt with any of the body wash. Gently massage the mixture over any rough patches, such as elbows, knees, and feet, for smoother skin.


Sunburn relief

Everyone gets a sunburn at least once in a blue moon. However, using Epsom salt to reduce sunburn irritation because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Add a tsp of Epsom salt and 3 drops of iodine into a half cup of boiling water. Apply this mixture to the blackheads with a cotton ball.

Combine equal parts deep conditioner and Epsom salt and warm in a pan. Work the warm mixture through your hair and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.



Epsom salt’s exfoliating properties will soften the rough skin on your feet and leave them feeling spa fresh. Mix ½ cup of Epsom salt and soapy water in a container big enough to hold your feet. Soak your feet for 10 minutes.

Pull out and dry your feet. Remove any nail polish and cut or file toenails. Soak your feet again for 5 more minutes. Remove, dry, and feel the results.
